Hi Everyone, We can't believe how quickly time is passing and January is almost gone. Devon has several appointments scheduled in February, which are quickly approaching, and keeping some of us up at night. She is scheduled to have her MRI on Wednesday February 4th, meeting with Endo. on Feb 5th and meeting with her own Nero Onc and chemo on Feb 10th to go over the results. Of course we will get some kind of notification on Feb 4th as to what BT is doing but they usually don't say much when they leave the message after the MRI. We will keep all of you posted as soon as we have some meaningful results. In the meantime, Devon is continuing to get her chemo although the increased dose is starting to have some effects on her. She tires out much more quickly and for the past few weeks has been regurgitating around the application. Last night we were discussing what our favorite day of the week was and Devon mentioned that she definitely hates Wednesdays. We all fell quiet for a little bit after that comment. On a good note, Devon is very excited about the upcoming Villanova Swimming/Diving event in early February and can't wait to see everyone on the team again and meet some of the alumni & their children. She is even more excited about the fact that her "Make a Wish" to go on the Nickelodeon Cruise this summer was recently granted. Good things are in the horizon so we are trying to stay positive and keep things as "Nrml" word as possible. We also heard good news this week that both Genna and Rosie's tumors are stable. Genna is Devon's hero and when things go wrong Devon usually asks if Genna experienced the same problem. So it is always good to hear that things are going well, stable and healthy on the Camiola front; which gives us Hope. We need your prayers and positive energy in hopes that Devon's tumor has shrunk or stabilized... she will stop chemo only if the tumor stabilizes or it dies and shrivels away (highly unlikely, but not impossible). Please be sure to include all our other families and children suffering from Brain Tumors in your payers. We all can use your help. I will keep you posted in few weeks. Banu |
