Endless Hope | Team Devon

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for being so patient with us and the fact that we can't provide more frequent updates. Devon's MRI is scheduled for May 6th with a follow up to her Oncologist on May 12th. You can imagine how nervous we are already. Overall she is doing great (Thank GOD!); still getting her weekly chemo and her monthly shot along with other medication.  Although she missed last week's chemo, because we were on vacation in FL.

The girls had such a great time. They enjoyed the beach, got to see the FL everglades and hold a live baby alligator (Their favorite part of the entire vacation- kids!).  It was hard waking them up for school this week.  Seeing them have fun and enjoy themselves brought tears to my eyes and prayers to my lips each time I paused. All I could think about was how blessed we are to be given this opportunity. Especially in light of all the losses we have suffered in the BT community over the past several months. It has been so devastating & grounding at the same time.

That sparked a whole new effort towards finding the cure!!!! Please mark your calendars, we will have a Team Devon fundraiser on the weekend of May 30th & 31st at Sabrina's Cafe in Philadelphia, which is owned by our neighbors.  They will dedicate the proceeds of a specific dish, made and named in Devon's honor, to the PLGA foundation. More details to follow on the event page.  We hope to see all of you at Sabrina's Cafe.

I will provide an update to you following the MRI as soon as I am able to.  In the meantime please pray that we get good results. That the tumor shrunk or stabalized! Also please remember to pray for all our other little BT children and their families (Genna, Rosie, Kira, Lexie, Brielle, Jenna, Brook, Luke, Zack, Terra, Lilly, Miguel, Sarah and many many more).  We know that our angels, Heather, Kyle, Devon & Christina are in heaven rooting for us.
