Endless Hope | Team Devon

"Brunch for a Cause" was a great success! We raised over $2,400 combined at both restaurants from proceeds and outside donations.  In addition, we spent a beautiful weekend in Philadelphia, ate great food and mingled with many of our friends, co-workers and family.  Devon was the star of the day with her "Gem of the Earth" short stack pancake special.  She spent Saturday at Christian Street with Sabrina and Sunday at Callowhill St with her friend Sidra.  She thoroughly enjoyed the day and was so excited to see some of her teachers & her school nurse.  It was a lot of fun and well worth the effort.  Not only did we raise money for a great cause, we also raised much awareness with our banner, hand outs and conversations with many people.  

This event would not have been possible without YOU.  We sincerely THANK:

• Everyone at Sabrina's Cafe' and Sabrina's Cafe' & Spencer's Too locations for all their hard work and dedication in making "Brunch for a Cause" a great success.
• To all those who made a special trip and came out to join us & those who could not join but made a donation on line.
• To patron's of both locations for ordering the special dish and making a generous donation outside.
• The PLGA foundation for providing handouts
• Most importantly our neighbors Robert and Raquel for putting all the details together, sponsoring the event, hosting our table outside the restaurants and generously donating all the proceeds to the PLGA foundation.

And now a personal message from Devon: "It was great, I loved the pancake. All the berries gave it a nice tangy flavor.  It was a really great day, windy but great. A special thanks to Mrs & Mr Lampart, Mrs. Page & her daughter and Mrs. Richter for coming out.  We saw lots of dogs there, my favorite was the little "Jug" puppy (Jack Russell & a Pug mix).  Oh and also thank you to everyone who worked there, they were really cool.  It was fun hanging out with my friends... oh yea and Paige too.  I am glad that some of my friends came out too.  Thank you Robert & Raquel... ok can I go now!"
