Hi All, I am sure you can tell that we are having a nice summer from the fact that I have been remiss in updating the blog. The girls finished swimming two weeks ago and they got many ribbons & a Plaque to display. They are so happy that the grueling daily practices are over but miss being with their friends on the team each day. Now they are just enjoying their own pool. Well Devon has a number of tests coming up shortly. The enhanced MRI is scheduled for Thursday 8/6/09. As you can imagine, the sleepless nights have already started along with the occasional bad dreams. We did find out however that we will not be getting results of the enhanced MRI because they will be submitted to a clinical study. We will only be able to see the standard images and will benefit from results of MRI as part of a study, if and when, the results yield collective knowledge or treatment. For now, we are glad to be a part of the study and feel good about contributing towards that "Unconditional Cure".
I am hoping we get good news from this upcoming MRI so that the girls can enjoy the rest of their summer and upcoming Ronald McDonald, BT week, sleep over camp with their friends. Devon is truly looking forward to it although Paige is a little apprehensive still and is having a hard time parting from MOM. Please, please send your positive thoughts and prayers... and remember all our BT kids and their families (Genna, Rosie, Kira, Jake, Samantha, Caroline, Lilly, Zack, Brook, Terry, Emily, Lexie, Jacqueline, Brielle, John, Emma, Neil and many many more).
